Skjermly on LG professional displays

LG professional displays with webOS Signage can open a web address straight away when they turn on. Skjermly runs in it, with no media player or app.

Works on: LG displays with webOS Signage. Play via URL is available on webOS Signage 6.0 and newer; older models use the browser.

Connect the display to the network
A network cable is the most stable. Wi-Fi works too.

Open Play via URL
Press Settings on the remote and find Play via URL. On some models it's called URL Loader and sits under Ez Settings or General.

Enter the address
Enter https://skjermly.no/player, save and restart the display.

Older models: use the browser
If the display has no Play via URL, open the browser, set the home page to skjermly.no/player and choose to open it at startup.

Turn off automatic shutdown
Turn off Auto Power Off and No Signal Power Off so the display doesn't switch itself off when nobody touches the remote.

Connect the screen to your account
The screen now shows a six-character code and a QR code. Sign in to Skjermly, go to Screens → Connect screen and enter the code, or scan the QR code with your phone.

Good to know

Skjermly is built to work in older browsers, including LG displays from before 2020.
Menu names vary between models. Send us the model number if you can't find the settings.
